Romsdalseggen is a demanding but rewarding hike, covering approximately 10 kilometres and taking between 5 and 8 hours to complete. With steep climbs, rocky terrain, and exposed sections, the trail is best suited for experienced hikers in good physical condition.
The route includes an elevation gain of around 960 metres, with chains installed along some of the more challenging sections to provide additional support.
Every step brings new perspectives of the surrounding mountains, making the effort well worth it.

The Perfect Ending to Your Adventure
As your journey along Romsdalseggen comes to an end, you'll reach Nesaksla, standing 708 metres above sea level with spectacular views over Åndalsnes and Romsdalsfjord.
